Education

IIGSD's education programme focusses on improving access and quality of education in ASALs in Northern Kenya through progressive initiatives including infrastructural development, provision of learning materials, talent incubation and promotion, development of co-curricular activities and facilities, capacity building and motivation of teachers. IIGSD also provides scholarship to needy students, and runs advocacy and awareness seminars against harmful cultural practices. We also promote school self-sufficiency in food, water, and clean energy. Our ultimate aim is to produce all rounded and skilled individuals who can easily integrate in to the global economy and contribute towards community and national development.
