IIGSD promotes the realisation of the right to the highest attainable standard of health for communities in ASALs including preventive, curative and reproductive health care by undertaking or supporting initiatives that promote access to affordable and quality health care, construction, renovation and equipment of health facilities, construction of modern research centres, laboratories, advocacy and awareness on health care, training of health care providers and advocacy on policy formulation.
